What do Celtic philosophy, Roman monasteries, and non-traditional roles have in common? Emily Conway tells us how they're all part of understanding the Thin Spaces we live in.
LOL, Don. I totally agree about Emily. I really enjoyed how thoughtful she is. I learned so much from her. And it's true--now that I have heard her speak, I see even more depth in her writing. 😊
Thank you for this interview, Julia and Emily! I am intrigued by the idea of thin spaces as physical locations where we can access the realm beyond the material. I also really resonate with the idea of "falling outside the norm." And that image you used, Emily, of standing outside the window and looking within, and not being sure you even want to be inside, is truly evocative for me. I really appreciate all you said.
Thank you, Susan. I agree with everything you said. Emily brought up such interesting points and I could relate to all of them. I've always had the "outside looking in" experience. Emily articulated it beautifully.
I love this topic: "Building a thick space." I built thick walls around my heart to protect my sensitive soul from trauma. Those walls and armour kept me from feeling aliveness and interconnection with all life. Thankfully, melting those Monkey-made walls is my joy today. 🙌🏽
Emily, wow, great job. You’re very brave and I’m proud of you!
And what a great way to get to know someone more thoroughly, to get to know parts of a person you can’t quite see in their writing.
I really enjoyed this interview! 🙏💚🩷
Sorry, I should have said, great job,Julia!
