Hi Julia! I look forward to listening to this. I hope you’re well. I’m trying to gather myself after a summer that included a lot of travel. I would love to have a chat with you at some point to catch up. I’ll send a email once I’ve got some order in my life:)

That sounds great, Emily. I'm looking forward to it. I'd love to hear about your travel.

I fell behind during summer as well. I got sick in July and feel like I lost the whole month. Luckily, I'm starting to get back in my rhythm now.

I came home from all of my travels and promptly got sick, so I've spent the last week mostly horizontal. Regrouping now. I'm glad you are too.

This is so fun! I love the 5 Buddha families. While I believe all these energies are represented in us, I also believe we can be dominate in one or two. For me, that's Ratna/Padma. What about you Julia?

That's such a good question! I probably have some Buddha energy. I see big-picture and can get very spacey! After that, Padma? Honestly, I'm my own blind-spot. It's always been hard for me to see the qualties I bring to others. The only thing I know for sure is that I struggle with Vajra and Karma (but ironically, have lots of vajra/karma people around me!)

The Five Wisdoms are really fun. I've studied them for years but it's only recently that they're coming together for me. In the beginning, I couldn't wrap my head around what they pointed to. For example, why is "pride" the neurotic quality for "equanimity"?! Wouldn't that be "anxiety" or "hyperactivity"?? But the more I work with them, the more I understand the qualities they refer to.

I love Buddha energy. My partner is pretty Buddha. I find that energy quite calming. Thank you for sharing your insights about the Buddha families. I look forward to learning more.
