What makes you feel like you belong? People? A place? Being seen? Do you only belong to people you know or can strangers give you a sense of belonging?
These are some of the questions that Emily and I consider in this week’s edition of Threshold.
Some of the other insights from our talk:
[00:00:00] “Belonging when you’re in the liminal.”
[00:03:35] “Belonging to myself when I come from nowhere.”
[00:06:57] “Being an outsider leads to belonging.”
[00:14:33] “What is belonging when I drive a Minivan?”
[00:19:33] “Acceptance and belonging”

Next week: How to be in Community (especially as in introvert)
We are regularly told that having a community is one of the core keys to happiness.
But as introverts, we often have a push-pull relationship with our people. Community obligations can feel demanding, superficial, or overwhelming.
So how do we navigate community? What role can it play in our lives?
On Monday, June 23 @ 11:00 CST, Emily (A Thin Space) and Julia (Embodied Living) will discuss how to embrace community while respecting our need for solitude. Join us.
Join Emily Conway and myself on Monday June 16 at 11am CT for this discussion on belonging and how to find it.
