RECORDING: Finding Rest

A Threshold recording about living in the in-between spaces

We often think of rest as stillness, naps, or slowing down—but what if rest is something deeper?

In this episode of Threshold, Emily and I talk about how rest can show up in movement, paradox, and those small moments when we stop trying so hard to feel better.

Some of the other insights from our talk:

  • [00:03:30] “What does rest feel like in my body?”

  • [00:08:30] “Is spending time on the couch restful?”

  • [00:12:00] “Micro-rest and moving meditation.”

  • [00:16:30] “Rest isn’t flatlining—It’s refilling.”

  • [00:20:00] “How do we rest when it’s hard?”

  • [00:24:30] “Let yourself be unrested.”

Next week: The Embodied Intangible

Living in a space that is neither black nor white, right nor wrong, can seem vague and impalpable. Ironically, that's why it's even more important to be fully grounded in your body.

On Monday, July 21 @ 11:00CST, Emily (A Thin Space) and I will consider how to embody the intangible.

Join us Monday, July 23 @11:00am CT.
